Hello. I bought Norton Ghost 2003 a few years ago and, having
installed it to Drive C, I copied over Drive C to an external drive.
Somebody pointed out how inadequate this was, so yesterday I installed
a 2nd copy of W2K on my Drive G (HD1 is divided into C & D; HD2 has E,
F, G). Then I installed Ghost to Drive G, with the intention of making
a mirror copy of Drive C on my external drive.

When I clicked on the Restart option in Ghost, the machine failed to
find the correct installation, and hung. I was unable either to
continue with Ghost or to return to either of my W2K installations.

Someone in the Win2000.general ng told me how to rescue my
installations, so that's ok. But now HD 1 has Drive C, Drive D - as
before - and also -VPSGHBOOT- (J:) 8MB plus another section entitled
39.55MB Unallocated.

How can I put things back as they were before?

By the way, I have not uninstalled Ghost from either Drive C or G.

Thanks.

I can't help with your specific problem, but once you've made a
bootable floppy or CD there's no need to install Ghost to the hard drive
at all, much less 2 copies on the same machine.
